DETAILS ON THE CORONA VIRUS FROM JOHNS HOPKINS.
* The virus is not a living organism, but a protein molecule (DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular, nasal or buccal mucosa, changes their genetic code (mutation) and convert them into aggressor and multiplier cells.
* Since the virus is not a living organism but a protein molecule, it is not killed, but decays on its own. The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.
* The virus is very fragile; the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat. That is why any soap or detergent is the best remedy, because the foam CUTS the FAT (that is why you have to rub so much: for 20 seconds or more, to make a lot of foam).
By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down on its own.
* HEAT melts fat; this is why it is so good to use water above 77 degrees Fahrenheit for washing hands, clothes and everything. In addition, hot water makes more foam and that makes it even more useful.
* Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ANY FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.
*Any mix with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaks it down from the inside.
* Oxygenated water helps long after soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein, but you have to use it pure and it hurts your skin.
* NO BACTERICIDE OR ANTIBIOTIC SERVES. The virus is not a living organism like bacteria; antibodies cannot kill what is not alive.
* NEVER shake used or unused clothing, sheets or cloth. While it is glued to a porous surface, it is very inert and disintegrates only
-between 3 hours (fabric and porous),
-4 hours (copper and wood)
-24 hours (cardboard),
-42 hours (metal) and
-72 hours (plastic).
But if you shake it or use a feather duster, the virus molecules float in the air for up to 3 hours, and can lodge in your nose.
* The virus molecules remain very stable in external cold, or artificial as air conditioners in houses and cars.
They also need moisture to stay stable, and especially darkness. Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade it faster.
* UV LIGHT on any object that may contain it breaks down the virus protein. For example, to disinfect and reuse a mask is perfect. Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin.
* The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.
* Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.
* NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, serve. The strongest vodka is 40% alcohol, and you need
65%
* LISTERINE IF IT SERVES! It is 65% alcohol.
* The more confined the space, the more concentration of the virus there can be.
The more open or naturally ventilated, the less.
* You have to wash your hands before and after touching mucosa, food, locks, knobs, switches, remote control, cell phone, watches, computers, desks, TV, etc. And when using the bathroom.
* You have to moisturize dry hands from so much washing them, because the molecules can hide in the micro cracks. The thicker the moisturizer, the better.
* Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.

I would like to introduce to you and ask for your warm welcome the following ten new Sir Knights to our Assembly:
David Bernero | John Finnerty, III | Carlos Gargiulo | Michael Major | Edward Robertson |
John Burkhalter | John Finnerty, Jr. | Jeff Kramer | Steven Mc Allister | Michael Saffa-Wuya, Jr. |
These gentlemen became Sir Knights at the Patriotic Degree Exemplification held last Saturday, April 27, at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Richmond. To celebrate their joining our assembly, to announce the Sir Knight of the Year and revel in another successful fraternal year of this young assembly we will be holding a celebratory steak dinner on Tuesday, June 11. I am working of securing Farrell Hall for this event. Please be on the lookout for a signup for this event in the coming weeks.
Color Guard and Welcoming Committee
Assembly 3596 will be providing a Color Guard and Welcoming Committee for an Honor Flight at Dulles Airport on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 am. Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. This event will take approximately 1 hour. If you are interested, please sign-up HERE.
Please Remember: The District Master, Sir Knight Steve Raschke, PSD announced that Sir Knights may now wear a Dark Suit with the Social Baldric and participate in Color Corps events, such as Honor Guard at a Funeral viewing. However, the Service Baldric and Sword may not be worn with the Dark Suit and Social Baldric.
Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 14 @ 8:00 pm at Old St. Mary of Sorrows Hall. A meal, fraternity and the praying of the rosary will precede the meeting starting at 7:00 pm. I hope you can attend and help us prepare for upcoming events where we can display our Catholic patriotism. Please try to attend as this meeting as it will include the election of Assembly Officers for the 2019-2020 Fraternal Year.
Please continue to pray for religious freedom.
Prayer for Religious Freedom
Loving Father, thank You for the gift of life and for the freedom to love and worship You. Through the power of the Holy Spirit inspire us to be your witnesses. Grant us the courage to boldly and joyfully stand in the protection of our freedom. In your mercy, guard our religious freedom so we may continue to live out our faith and transform the world in which we live. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Please Note: There is a signup form on the Assembly website to register for a prayer list for yourself or family members who are serving our country. The current list has not been updated in some time and we would like to get this list up-to-date for our service men and women.
For those of you who would like to purchase the new uniform of the Patriotic Degree of the Order, you can do so by going to www.kofcuniform.com. For the 32 new members, if you make this purchase the Assembly will reimburse you for the sword. Although there is no requirement to purchase a uniform it is required to participate in formal Color Corps or Honor Guard events. If you have any questions about the new uniform, please feel free to contact me directly navigator@assembly 3596.org. Please remember that effective July 1, 2o19 the transition period will conclude and the legacy regalia will no longer able to be worn, the uniform will be the only official dress code for the Patriotic Degree.
Patriotically, With God!
